He’s still the Healer – His blood is still the same That we could claim our healing – thru the power his name His body bruised and bleeding – He knew there’d come a day Our Lord took the stripes – on His back for you and me Stripped of His garments – in shame and agony He said it, I believe it - and I’m standing….on the Word
He said it, I believe it – and I’ve wrapped my faith around it, Oh Yes, I’m standing on the Word – you cannot He said it, I believe it – and I’m standing on the Word I know He’s more than able – for He’s the God I serve God gave me a promise – I’ve wrapped my faith around it You’ve got to stand your ground – and tell him once again So when your faith is shaken – and the devil says give in It stood throughout the ages – when everything else failedĮach promise has been proven – I’ve tried it for myself Then I remind myself – just what I’m standing on Sometimes I get so weary – I’ve waited for so long He gave me a promise - I’m standing on right now In precious, holy pages – God’s Word is written down
